When hiring a crane, the first thing to do is determine what type of hire is needed. Crane Rental is obtainable in two forms. Which one you choose depends on your knowledge and insurance.
There are two ways to go: Contract Lift or Hired Crane.
Contract Lift refers to when the crane operator is responsible for all aspects of the lift, such as the planning, obtaining adequate insurance coverage, and providing crane and workers.
The hiring company is responsible for planning and insurance. A mobile crane rental company must offer a safe, reliable crane and a qualified driver.
Did you know that cranes are required for all lifts?
1. A risk assessment or method statement that is done before any lift.
2. A qualified person appointed to manage the operation.

These laws apply to all rental agencies:
CPA (Construction Plant Hire Association) Terms and Conditions
British Safety standards BS7121 (Safe Use of Cranes)
For the benefit of customers, many businesses will offer method statements, site visits, general mobile crane consultation, and risk assessments. These are common issues that end-users recognize and turn to crane rental businesses to help them. They can provide a complete lift from planning to completion.
Mobile crane operators must be qualified HGV drivers and have the required CPCS qualifications. These qualifications combine the CTA and CITB qualifications but are all part of the Construction Plant Competence Scheme.
